Grounded Energy provides comprehensive G99 compliance studies, modelling the dynamic behaviour of Power Generating Modules. We assess all classification types which are defined dependant on the Registered Capacity and Connection Voltage of the site:
· Type A: Simplistic assessment.
· Type B: Reactive power assessment, fault ride through, fast fault current Injection, frequency response assessment (LFSM-O only)
· Type C: Reactive power study, voltage response, frequency response (LFSM-O, LFSM-U & FSM), fault ride through, fast fault current injection.
· Type D: Same studies as Type C but requirements differ.
For BESS systems, both import and export cases are considered and additional LFSM-U cases for import.

Grid Code compliance is similar in many respects to G99 but its complexity, scrutiny and time required for sign off are of a different magnitude.
Futhermore it differs in that Grid Compliance is classified differently dependant on where the connection is located. Going North to South: SHET area at >=10MW, SPT area at >=30MW and NG area >=50MW.
There are also key additions, namely:
RMS and EMT model submissions, along with guides, and sign off.
Fault Ride through additions: Low Voltage Ride Through.
Sub-Synchronous Oscillation (SSO) studies post Model being validated by NESO.
One point to note, Type D G99 sites in some cases need to show compliance to both G99 and Grid code with separate reports demonstrating compliance for each.
